Terms of Service

• You need a Discord account. Signing in to the website happens entirely through Discord, so Discord’s own Terms of Service apply to you alongside these — including their minimum age of 13, or older where your country sets a higher age for online services.
• You need to be 18 or over. The DMC server is 18+. Tagging yourself Under 18 in the roles menu removes your verified role, which closes the Discord server to you and also closes this website — you cannot sign in, and any session you have ends.
• You need to be in our Discord server. The website is for the crew. Sign-in checks that you are a member of the DMC Discord server, and member areas close if you leave or are removed.
• One account per person. Do not create alternate accounts to get around a suspension, enter a giveaway twice, or claim a reward more than once.

Your account is created the first time you sign in with Discord and is tied to your Discord ID. You are responsible for what happens under it, so keep your Discord account secure. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, and your access to member areas ends when your membership of the Discord server does.

The short version matches the server rules: don’t be a problem for anyone else. More specifically, do not use the service to:

• Harass, threaten, bully, impersonate or dox anyone.
• Post content that is hateful, sexually explicit or illegal, or that sexualises minors in any way.
• Spam, advertise, or recruit for other communities without staff permission.
• Cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate leaderboards, levels, coins or giveaway entries, whether by hand or by automating the site.
• Attempt to break, overload, scrape or gain unauthorised access to the site, the bot, or the systems behind either of them.
• Upload anything you do not have the right to share, or anything containing malware.

Staff moderate at their discretion. Depending on what happened that can mean a warning, content removed, a feature withdrawn, a suspension, or removal from the community. For serious or illegal conduct we may act without warning and may report it to Discord or to the authorities.

Profile text and images, wall posts and comments, blog posts, album reviews, question-of-the-day answers, map notes, direct messages and anything else you submit stay yours. You keep ownership; you give us permission to store and display it on the service so the feature works — showing your profile to other members, or your review on the reviews page.

By posting, you confirm you have the right to do so. We may remove or hide anything that breaks these terms or that we judge harmful to the community. When staff clear a profile that is recorded on it, so a takedown is visible rather than looking like you wiped it yourself.

• Coins are not money. Coins, levels, XP, ranks, badges and shop items exist only inside this community. They have no real-world value, cannot be bought, sold, exchanged for cash or transferred outside the service, and you hold no property right in them.
• Balances can change. We may correct, adjust or reset balances and unlocks — to fix a bug, to undo cheating, or when a feature changes. Rewards and shop stock can be altered or withdrawn at any time.
• They end with your membership. If you leave or are removed, whatever you accumulated is not redeemable for anything.

Events run by DMC have their own rules, announced with the event. Staff decisions on entries, eligibility, results and prizes are final. Prizes are not guaranteed and may change or be cancelled; any prize provided by a third party is that third party’s responsibility, not ours. Nothing we run is a gambling service, and entry never requires payment.

Stereon is the Discord bot behind levels, the economy, tournaments, achievements, the question of the day and other server features. Using it, or adding it to a server, is covered by these terms. Server administrators are responsible for how it is configured in their server and for telling their members it is in use.

The bot operates only within the permissions it is granted in Discord. We may change, limit or withdraw any of its features, and may stop it running in a server at any time.

The service is built on top of others — Discord for sign-in and for the community itself, plus the platforms you can optionally link a gaming account to. Those services have their own terms, and linking an account or clicking through to a third-party page means their rules apply there. We do not control them and are not responsible for them. The service is provided “as is”. It is a hobby project run by volunteers: it can go down, lose data, show something wrong, or have a feature disappear, and we make no promise that it will be available, accurate or uninterrupted. Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, DMC and its staff are not liable for any loss arising from use of the service — including lost content, lost coins or levels, or anything that happens between members. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

We may update these terms as the site and bot change. The date at the top always shows the current version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. You can stop at any time by leaving the Discord server; the Privacy Policy covers what happens to your data and how to ask for it to be deleted.
